Trujillo

The Romans called it Turgalium after it was conquered by the Arabs.

Its golden age was during the centuries XV and XVI, during which the majority of the palaces, churches and stately homes were built along with the fortresses.

Don't forget to visit Santa Maria La Mayor , where you will find 25 paintings from Fernando Gallego, which have been preserved in exceptional condition.

The golden age of Trujillo was during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. Nowadays, its impressive historical and artistic heritage makes it one of the most visited cities.
